Usability testing can be applied at different stages of the development cycle:

User surveys – Collecting requirement and satisfaction by online or offline questionnaire.
Focus groups – Discussing the preference about the product, website or service.
Interviews – Face to face to talk and observe user behaviors to get deep feedbacks.
Contextual inquiry – Watching how user will interact with the product in a scenario created by our lab or the real environment.
User observation – Observing users to collect data in the specific environment.
Usability reporting – We ask the users to report which elements in a website for example, do they find easy or difficult to use.
